October has come and gone

So alot has been going on this past month. On Ocotber 12th Olivia went to her first NFL game. She was able to see the Seahawks play the Packers...and she loved it so much, she slept through the whole game!!! The next weekend we headed to Cove for the Thew Ciderfest 08. We had a great time with family and friends and Olivia had a great time as well. The weekend of the 25th we had some friends in town from Corvallis. We went to a CWU football game, the pumpkin patch and we had Olivia dedicated at Church. It was a wonderful weekend. For Halloween, Olivia was a strawberry. We only trick or treated a couple of places because daddy had to work a football game out of town. Olivia also had a doctor appointment that day and we found out she weighed 12 lbs 12 oz. She is growing so fast. Novemeber will be a little less busy for us, but we are excited that we will get to see both our families over Thanksgiving week.

Olivia arrived

Sorry that I haven't updated this in a while...but for those of you who haven't been keeping up...Olivia Nicole Thew arrived on August 26th at 12:44 pm. She was 7 lbs 13 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. She was still breech so I had to have a c-section. We are so excited to have such a wonderful baby. She is sleeping about 6 consecutive hours at night (which mommy and daddy appreciate)...and she is just wonderful. I hope you enjoy some of her pictures...I will post more soon!

Olivia is coming soon!!!

Well in case you hadn't heard, Olivia is a very stubborn little girl. She has decided that she likes to hang out upside down...she is still breech. We tried an inversion, and the doctor wasn't able to get her to turn! So this last Tues. we scheduled a C-section for Tues. 8/26 at noon.

I have been having contractions as frequently as 4 minutes apart for the past week...and on Wed. I woke up with some labor pains, if by chance I go into labor before Tues. they will go ahead and remove her early.

Chris and I are both very excited to finally meet our little girl...and we will post some pictures as soon as I feel up to it! Here is a picture we took at 38 weeks...one more week to go!!!

Alomost parents

The past month has been very busy for Chris and I. We went to Corvallis for 4th of July, my freind Lori got married on the 12th...and then we went to Fish Lake with a crew of the Thews on the weekend of the 26th. I have attached a photo from Fish Lake. We had a great time, it was short, but we are happy we were able to go at all this year!

We are 37 weeks pregnant this week...and we found out last week that Olivia is still hanging out the wrong way. The Doctor said it is unlikely she will be able turn on her own, so on Wed 8/13 we are having an Inversion. This is where the doc will try to manually turn her from the outside...now I am not completely sure how this works, but I have heard that they will inject me with a muscle relaxer to relax my stomach muscles...giving them a better chance at turning her. If there are any complications...(which they always tell you there can be)...they will take her via c-section that night. There is still a chance, she won't turn and I will have to schedule a c-section later anyways...but we will just keep it one day at a time. I have attached some pics we took this last weekend...boy am I feeling huge...and I am ready for Olivia to finally be here!
Football at Ellensburg HS starts on Aug. 20th...and Chris cannot wait. He loves working with his athletes and has been preparing his training room for the season.

We will try to keep everyone posted on how things are going over the next week or so...

Shower and Fourth of July

Chris' aunt Kathy and cousin Jenny threw us a wonderful baby shower in Cove on June 28th. We had a wonderful time with friends and family during the weekend...and we received tons of great stuff for Olivia. Now I am stuck with the task of putting it all away! :)

Hope you enjoy some of the pictures I put up.

For the Fourth of July weekend we headed to Corvallis to visit some friends. We had a BBQ and had a day planned at the beach...well you know the Oregon Coast...it was freezing that day. Just my luck...I haven't been to the beach in 5 years and the one day it is terrible weather that week, is the one day we were there. But it wasn't a complete bust, Chris did some fishing and crabbing and I went shopping in Lincoln City with the girls...and Olivia was spoiled even more!

The next couple of weekends are packed as well...we have a wedding in Boardman on the 12th and we are hoping to go to Fish Lake with Chris family as well. We will have to wait on that to get a pass from the doctor. Should be tons of fun. Only about 8 more weeks until Olivia is due and we are both getting super excited!

Olivia is Shy

Well we attempted to have our 3-D ultrasound on Friday 6/20...but Olivia had other thoughts. She was all balled up and we weren't able to see her face...we did however get a great shot that confirmed that she is in fact a girl! It was a bit disappointing that we weren't able to see her, but we will just have to wait until she comes. Doctor said she is in the breech position, which doesn't surprise me. I thought she was playing trampoline on my bladder and I can feel her head up in my ribs. We are at 30 weeks and I am very excited that we only have 10 more to go...or less if she doesn't flip around.

I had my baby shower in California on June 14th. My mom did a great job putting things all together. I have attached a photo of just one of the great gifts I got...my dad got her a pink and black softball glove...it is too cute! We will be having a shower with friends and family in Cove, OR this weekend and I can't wait to see everyone there!

We have a very exciting summer planned with lots of things to do on the weekends. I will try to post more pictures and updates each week from here on out!

Olivia 25 weeks

Well we are all moved into our new place. It is so nice to have a nicer place to live! We bought Olivia's crib and dresser...as soon as the nursery is put together I will post some photos. Chris and I have both been busy at work and it appears as though we won't be slowing down much this summer either. I have baby showers, weddings and we are planning a trip to the Oregon Coast...we haven't been there in years and we would like one last easy trip before the baby is born!

Here are some photos of my baby bump at 25 weeks...she is really moving around now...there have been times where Chris has even see her kick from across the room!

22 weeks

Here are some photos of my belly at 22 weeks.
Olivia is growing very fast, and it seems as though I woke up one morning and my belly had popped out. Things with the baby are going great and most of the sickness and tiredness has gone away. Thank goodness!!!
We will be moving into a larger house this weekend and we can't wait to start setting up the nursery. We bought the crib on-line last night and we get to pick it up in about a week. Now for all the preperations!

It's a GIRL!!!

We had our 20 week appointment on Friday 4/11. The doctor did a diagnostic ultrasound of the baby, just to make sure that everything was developing normally. We got great news about the that as well as the quad screening we had in March, everything came back good. We were also able to find out that we are having a baby girl!!! We decided to name her Olivia Nicole Thew.

This next month is filled with a lot of things for us, we are heading to California to visit my family on Wed. 4/16 and we will be back on Mon. 4/21. Then we are moving into a new (nicer) rental the first weekend of May...we are keeping busy!

4 months already

Today marks 16 weeks...I cannot believe that I am already 4 months along. It seems like we just found out! We had an another appointment on March 13th and we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was moving around so much that the doctor had to chase it around. She estimated that the heartbeat was around 140 bpm, nice and strong. We found out that we will have an ultrasound at our next appointment April 11. This is the appointment that we get to find out what we are having. We decided that we want to know! The other exciting news is that one of our doctors just bought a 3-D ultrasound machine, we are pretty sure he will use that at the next appointment. The images on the 3-D machine are so much clearer...you can see so much more than the traditional ultrasounds.

Other than baby news...things have been finally slowing down. Cheerleading is finishing up, so I will have a break from that. I was officially promoted to a Study Abroad Advisor as of Feb. 16th. So far I am enjoying the job change. I was even sent to a 3 day conference in Bellingham, WA. I was also asked to go to China, but because I couldn't get the recommended imunizations because of the pregnancy my doctor said it probably wouldn't be a good idea.

Chris is also slowing down at work. He has finished with basketball/wrestling season and is now working with spring sports. This seems to be the easiest load for him.

11 Week Check-Up

We had our 11 week check-up today. We had another ultrasound and we were able to see baby Thew, and he/she looks much more like a baby this time. The heart was beating normally and the doctor said that everything looks great. We will have another appointment in 5 weeks...I am still a little tired, but the morning sickness has pretty much gone away, which I am very thankful for!

We are going to be parents

Well I think that the word has finally gotten out...yep WE'RE PREGNANT! We found out in early January and had an ultrasound on Jan. 17th (at 7 weeks). It was so awesome to be able to see our baby for the first time. Of course it was just a little blob with a beating heart, but it is already adorable. Chris and I are both super excited and can't wait to meet our baby this fall, our due date is Spetmeber 3,2008.

The past couple of weeks I have been exhausted! I don't have much energy and I am nauseous most of the time. I have a couple large boxes of saltines handy, but I have recently found that lemon sorbet settles my stomach best. So I have several pints at home and a few at work as well.

We have another appointment and ultrasound on Feb. 13th, so be sure to check back to see the pictures!
